What can I learn from a DNA test?

A DNA test can reveal a wide range of information, from your genetic ancestry and ethnic background to insights about your health, traits, and potential risks for certain conditions. Depending on the type of test you choose, you may also learn about your genetic relationships with others, including distant relatives or family members. It's a powerful tool that can help you understand your unique genetic makeup.

How accurate are DNA tests?

DNA tests are 99% accurate in analyzing genetic markers, making them a reliable source of information. Ancestry tests can give you detailed insights into your ethnic background, while health-related tests can reveal potential genetic risks. However, it’s crucial to understand that while DNA tests provide valuable data, they are not definitive diagnoses for health conditions and should be considered alongside other medical evaluations.

While these results can offer fascinating insights into your ancestry, they are estimates and may not reflect the full complexity of your heritage. Results can vary slightly between different testing companies due to variations in reference databases.

Can DNA testing help me find biological relatives?

If you are searching for family connections, this can be a powerful resource, but it’s important to approach the process with an open mind and be prepared for unexpected outcomes.
